Description Of Incident: Heavy fire in a 1-story commercial ".99 Cent Store"

1529hrs- 10-75 for fire in a .99 Cent Store. L-6 FAST.

1531hrs- B-4 using All-Hands on Arrival for heavy fire in a 1-story commercial.

1532hr- 1 L/S, 2nd underway. No water on fire ATT.

1535hrs- Box going out for fire in the rear of 80 Ridge St for report of fire. Box is at the rear of the All-Hands (E-33, 7, 24; L-9, L-20 B-6).

1538hrs- Division 1 rpts heavy fire in rear 2 L/S/O. S/C extra Engine and Truck

(E-5/L-3).

1543hrs- Division 1 transmitting 2nd Alarm. Fire is through the roof.

2nd Alarm: E-14, 4, 10; L- 12 Acting 18; B-1 (Comm. Cord.), B-7 (Safety); E-207/Sat.-1, TAC 1, Safety B/C, Field Comm. 1, Rescue B/C

1545hrs- B-6 rpts still investigating 80 Ridge St.

1548hrs- B-6 rpts 10-33 Code 1 for 80 Ridge. Rpts units on that box are operating a line at the rear for heavy fire blowing out the original fire building. Incident is a 2nd Alarm with an additional box assignment operating at the rear.

1550hrs- Manhattan advising Division 1 incident is at a 3rd Alarm equivalent.

1553hrs- Division 1 rpts fire building is a 1-story 30X75 commercial. Duration of box is 27 minutes.

Exposure 1- Street.

Exposure 2- 7-story OMD.

Exposure 3- Unknown

Exposure 4- 6-story OMD.

1609hrs- Car 7 rpts heavy fire in rear 1/3rd of the building with (2) L/S/O. Also (2) L/S/O from Exposure 2 to the fire building. Searches underway. D/W/H.

1613hrs- Car 7 reports searches in Exposures 2 and 4 are (-). Still D/W/H.

1636hrs- Car 7 rpts fire is K/D. Co's working on pockets between tin ceiling and cockloft. Searches delayed due to volume of fire.

1646hrs- Car 7 places the fire P/W/H.
