Chicago Area-2 Fire engines collide while responding

3 posts in this topic

RIP to FF Jeffrey Bergstrom. Best wishes to the injured.

Just further reminder that we are never ever safe at any time, and sometime not even with each other in this job. Responding can be an much overlooked, yet very dangerous portion of our jobs.

This is very sad news to hear!!! This just proves that apparatus operators must use due regard when responding. Although, as we all know, when we hear a 10-75 transmitted, our adrenaline starts and we tend to move faster!! Safety when responding is of the upmost importance because if we don't get to the scene, we are no help!!!
