My favorite piece of apparatus is Engine 75 North White Plains. It may not be red but it it functions great and never lets anyone down. Its a blast from the past and keeps on going. I hope its around for years to come.

When on the web site, click on "FAHRZEUGE", then the first row of apparatus you see click on "Rust-Greatewagen" then on the bottom right of the screem you will see a rig with "RW-Schiene". Click on that rig. I can't copy the link because it's copywritten. It's a Rescue/Pumper for the City of Frankfurt a.M. F.D. Whats so special about it is if you look adjacent to the tires you will see Train wheel as well. This righ is pecifically designed to combat subway fire and preform subway rescues. The vehicle is a 1985 Marigus/IVECO. This rig substitues regular SCOTT packs with 2 cycle air packs, which allows the firefighters to operate within a tunnel for periods of up to 6 hours.

When you look through the site's pics, you will also see cranes that the FD uses. The city of Frankfurt a.M utilizes 3 cranes for heavy rescue. Where else are you gonna see a crane haulin rear end to a call with lights and siren?

My Favorite rig is east fishkill's 39-16, housed at station 4 in wicopee. It's a 1996 E-One. It's gorgeous, thanks to me and about 10 other guys and gal, that spend a few weeks cleaning detailing and polishing it every year before the comissioners inspection.

Well lets see it would not be any of the pirece pumps or ladder that we have because they are junk!!!!!!!!!!

My fav has to be when I was in upstate N.Y. and was a member of small vollie company outside of Albany. We ran twin 1970 F model Maxims with big V-8 Detroits and 1500gpm pumps. Loved those pumps and I believe one is still in reserve status in that dept.
