This has been bothering me all morning. What does the O in IPASO stand for?

Inspect, Palpate, Auscultate, Seal, _______________?

(rapid trauma assessment, lungs)

oxengenate i think. But, i never used that nuemonic. I was always privy to DCAP-BTLS for trauma.

you're right, it's O2.

I use DCAP-BTLS as well, the IPASO is just for the chest.

Here is a good one!

I Pass Gas!

I=Inspect

P=Palpate

A=Auscultate

S=Seal

S=Stabilze(Flail Chest)

Gas=O2
