(Sorry I don't have exact times... Was on the scene!)

• 60-Control toned out Rye for Possible Structure Fire

• E191, E192, L25, Cars 2421 and 2423 en-route

• E192 on the scene reported smoke showing

• Car 2421 advised 60-Control of 10-75.

• Rye re-toned for 10-75.

• 2421 requested Harrison Engine to the scene.

• 2421 requested 1 and 1 to standby at Rye's Station 2

• Harrison's E10 and Car 2163 on the scene

• Purchase E240 and Village of Mamaroneck L20 en-route to standby

Upon arrival, there was heavy smoke showing from attic vents and elsewhere on the roof. L25 laddered the peak of the roof on the A-side, and a crew went up to vent. At the same time, E191 layed-in several lengths of 5" LDH from the hydrant at the corner of Beck and Forest and relayed to E192 with another couple of lengths of 5" LDH. Meanwhile, a team stretched a 1-3/4" pre-connect from E192 in the front door to the top floor and found fire in a crawlspace just off of a top-floor bedroom that had extended into the spaces just under the roof. As E192's crew began to get water on the fire, the fire started coming through the roof in the center of the structure just behind the chimney. The Truck crew cut the first hole, and due to the roof being vented, the hose team was able to push it out fairly quickly.

Excellent work by all personnel on the scene for a quick stop!

Harrison's Engine and Chief arrived extremely quickly with well more than a full crew, and were extremely helpful in all aspects of knock-down, overhaul and clean-up. Purchase and Village of Mamaroneck also had crews ready in the Milton Firehouse.
