NFA ALS hazmat!

7 posts in this topic

I just got my acceptance letter to the ALS hazmat class at NFA today!

I've been trying to go to this class for two years!

Has anyone else been that can give me advice and info on how the class will go?

Im told that this course is the most challenging class NFA has.

Cheers!

I took the class a couple of years ago. The first week is fast paced. Chem 101 in about a week. The second week is more toxicology and assessment and treatment.

Take my advice, go somewhere on the weekend. Vist Washington, go to Gettysburg. You will need the break. The food is great and the networking is outstanding. Have fun!

Friday and Saturday nights in Georgetown is hopping. That was my hangout when I lived down there. Old Town Alexandria is also fantastic and is loaded with women, college, professional you name it. Don't know if they are still ther but Winstons and Crazy Horse were right next to each other on M street in Georgetown and had cold beer and hot chicks.

DC f'ing rocks. The girls are hot without the attitude of the girls in the city. M street in Georgetown (just like ALS said) is the place to be.

Is Annie Oakley's still there on M street and Wisconsin ???? I spent some time myself in that area and I definitely second my fellow members' comments !! B)B)

Don't miss the chance to go to the Ott House Pub in the middle of Emmitsburg,

I am a little biased here since that was started by my great aunt & is now owned & operated by my cousins

Steve: I have been to the Ott house on a previous trip to NFA. Yes, I will be returning during this trip. I really like the atmosphere there! As is typical in the south, many of my co-workers mispronounce it as the "out house".....Tell your cousins to stock up on the gin.

Cheers!
