Some history on this Dept. Have they always run with Greenwich? How does the NY/CT funding work out....who does the dispatch, do they switch over to Greenwich once over the county line.....thanks again.

Many people don't realize that Banksville (and Pound Ridge) also go "auto mutual" into Stamford, in the north reaches of Long Ridge's district...

As far as radios, they have capability to transmit on Stamford's "154" frequency, but Stamford Fire Dispatch does not keep track of their unit status (that remains in the hands of 60-Control)

PS - If 2581 is reading this, I talked to you on "154" yesterday, which I found kinda funny since I'm used to hearing you on 46.260.

Banksville has Ct pagers for greenwich which are worn by our officers, Ct dispatches us then calls county and they dispatch us in NY. As far as radios go when going to CT we use both CT and NY radios to advise dispatch of our status, (yeah it gets alittle crazy using two diff radios with two diff id's). As far as funding goes we have agreements with funding in both NY and CT (I'm not sure what the numbers are). to the best of my knowledge we are only 1 of a few departments in the country to be chartered in two states. And to clear up any confusion going in to Greenwich is not mutial aid for Banksville. The Banksville F.D. is part of the greeenwich fire department (station 7). I think I covered all your questions, if not let me know
