Update on me, ryefd192.....

13 posts in this topic

I am now a member of the Southwest FD in Loachapoka, Alabama(1 town over from Auburn). The department has 2 E-one engines, 1 cab over and 1 commercial cab as well as a brush truck. The coverage is about 55 square miles, with hydrants(but not many). The calls are about 65% medical. Entirely volunteer, the department is comprised of mostly students. I begin my training tuesday. Apparently in AL, FF1 isnt required for volunteer departments, so the training is all in house. More updates as I get more into the department. :D
