Time: 0630hrs

Location: SAGO Mine, Upshur County, WEST VIRGINIA

Departments: Mine rescue team en route, federal, state & local agencies

Description: 12 miners trapped 5,800 feet below surface after explosion, condition unknown. Possibly caused by a lightning strike.
