on line training

I just saw the report on news 12 on Rockland County and their new training--- they are going to be useing "on line" to supplement the training for their members.

Any one have ideas about that good or bad

I have my own but will wait till I hear from some of you guys first.

I think this is a good idea, I have taken many on line courses from FEMA, DHS, SEMO, and many other aganices. Some are harder then a classroom setting, and many cover what you dont learn in a classroom. There are some faults such as asking questions and missing your fellow brothers and sisters in class and sharing expriences, but overall I think it is a good learning exprience. Of course you can not give all classes on line espically ones that have a pratical end.
