Somers---Fire at Somers High School

Description Of Incident: Initial dispatch as a automatic commercial alarm. Upon investigation, a fire was found in a bathroom. Fire quickly extinguished using a water can and building was ventilated. Investigation underway by C&O zone 5 and NYSP. Units clear around 15:00.

Frequencys used were both 42.260 and 453.0375 (WC fireground 1).

Both Zone 4 and 5 of the WC C&O Team responded.

Damage was kept to a minimum due to the quick actions of Somers Bravest. Fire damage was limited to the bath room with minor smoke damage in the ajoining hallway. The only fire control damage caused was by taking out the skylight in the fire room for ventalation. The only water damage that occured was that of a 2 1/2 gallon water can.
