I just heard some traffic on a aviation frequency where someone was asking a controller to move news helicopters away from the Yonkers area because they are interfering with operations. After I read your post, I checked the Journal News website and found a headline about a shooting on Fulton Avenue in Mount Vernon at a check cashing store at 8:30 this morning. Seems a security guard killed a robbery suspect there.

Don't know if this is all related but it could be. Check the newspaper site for details.

Didn't see anything on News 12 site.
