New Nikon and Canon DSLR's

Nikon will be releasing, in time for Christmas, the new D200 digital SLR to compete with the Canon 20D. Of the D200's selling points are a weather-sealed CCD sensor and 10.2 megapixels. Suggested street price of $1,699.99

Canon has just released the new semi-pro D5 at 12.8 megapixels, a larger LCD screen and, most importantly, eliminated the digital conversion scale for lenses (28mm will now be 28mm and so on). Suggested street value $3,699.95 body only.

The D200 sounds awesome! I'm sure the price will drop a few months after the holidays....I hope! I'd like to try it.

D200 Looks like a nice camera. I was going to get the Canon 20D, but this looks like it will be worth the money. This will also drive down the cost of the D70s, Rebel XT, and the 20D. So many choices...
