Description Of Incident: In-flight emergency. A Federal Express cargo flight from Boston to Indianapolis made an emergency landing at Stewart Airport this morning, Stewart officials said.The three-man crew of the Boeing 727 smelled fumes early in their flight and alerted the airport that it needed to make a landing, said Stewart spokeswoman Tanya Vanasse.Airport and local fire crews came to the scene and the plane landed safely. The crew evacuated via emergency chutes and was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, Vanasse said.The plane needed to land on the airport's main runway, which was having construction work done at the time. Work crews cleared out and the runway was opened in six minutes,
