THE CITY OF PROVIDENCE ANNOUNCES FIREFIGHTER RECRUITMENT

The Providence Fire Department is seeking applications for the position of entry-level Firefighter Trainee.  Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

Must have attained the age of 18

Have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Must have a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License

Applicants must have attained US Citizenship by the start of the Training Academy

Must successfully pass a criminal background check

Must agree to informational and medical reviews

Applications will be available beginning Monday, October 3, 2005 through Friday, November 14, 2005. Interested persons may pick up applications at the following locations:

All completed applications must be submitted in-person to the Providence Fire Department, Division of

Training.  When submitting an application, Applicants must submit an original and one (1) legible copy of

the following documents:

Birth Certificate or US Immigration Papers

High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate

Valid Motor Vehicle Operators License with a photo I.D.
