Initial Summary:    Captain Hotaling was performing maintenance during the department's weekly maintenance and training drill at the firehouse when he began to feel ill.

Hotaling contacted the Chief to tell him and went home.

Shortly afterwards an ambulance was summoned to his residence and he was transported to the hospital where he died of an apparent cardiac problem.
