Thornwood's old firehouse?

Yesterday while heading up Kensico Rd. to Columbus I noticed (on Sherman Ave???) what looked like a fire siren tower on top of a white building. Right next to the building there was a siren on a pole.

Was this a fire house at some point?

I don't believe so Thornwood has a couple of sirens spread out through out there district
