Found on the FCC's website that Hartsdale Fire District has a pending application for what appears to be a repeater link. Freq's are 478.05/481.05.

i would imagine, they are getting on the new county UHF portable fireground freq.

these freq's are most likely going to be links to a 46.26 repeater. so you can use one portable for everything. this is all speculation, it makes sence. getting everyone to get on board is the hard part
