Rechargeable batteries

I was looking to buy an extra battery for my camera and I looked on B&H and they sell a sony battery model NP-FM50 which is 7.2V and 8.5Wh and my battery that came with my camera is Np-FM30 7.2 and 5.0Wh when I look for a battery do i have to match both V and Wh or just V i am kinda lost and wanted to know if any 1 could he me???

just the volts al least on my camera my batteries just have to match the volts

The voltage part is the most important. Too low and your camera won't work. Too high and your camera could be damaged. The Wh (WattHours) is a gauge of how LONG the bettery will last. An 8.5Wh battery will last about 40% longer than 5.0Wh one.
