Lynbrook Truck Company Fire

4 posts in this topic

Hello fellow EMTBRAVO Network members.

On April 22nd 2005 an early morning fire ripped through the 100 year old quaters of Rescue, Hook, Ladder, & Bucket Co. #1 that has existed on Earle Ave in Lynbrook since 1884. The 2 ladders, and the air truck were saved by the captain at the time who happened to be passing by on his street sweeper route. The house wasnt able to be saved in time to stop the unrepairable damage to the structure.

I thought I would do my part as a former member Rescue, Hook, Ladder & Bucket Co. #1, but still a current department member of the Lynbrook Fire Department to help out a few good friends in their time of need.

If you gentlemen would just take a few min of your time to take a look at this website set up explaning what has happened, the history and what all of you could do to help.

Truck Co recently ran our 4th batt. parade and drill, so thoes profits went twords the rebuild. There may be a few fundraisers in the furture but none planned right now. They are pretty busy meeting with builders and finalizing plans on the new structure.

Thanks for the reply.
