can anyone tell me what the v.a. hudson valley has as far as their trucks go, don't spare a vehicle (current trucks only), even the chiefs cars. thanx,steve

I don't know about chiefs cars, or specs on the rigs, but the Montrose VA has:

Haz-Mat 3 (Formerly HM33)

Engine 225

MA28

Marine 21

Maybe RES20CUE or 1191stdue can chime in to fill in the blanks.

You have to remember Castle Point there part of the VA Hudson Valley Fire Dept in Dutchess

They have

Engine 225- 1986 Pierce Dash 1000 GPM Pumper

Mini Attack 28- 1998 International/E-One Medium Rescue w/500 GPM Pump (Converting to Rescue 48)

HazMat 3- 2002 Freightliner/ Mickey HazMat Unit

Ambulance 48B1- 1998 Ford/Wheeled Coach Type II

Marine 21- 1970 18' Boston Whaler Rescue Boat

Castle Point Campus:

Engine 91-11- 1993 KME Falcon 1250 GPM Pumper

HazMat 91-69- 2002 Freightliner/ Mickey HazMat Unit

Ambulance 91-71- 2003 Ford/Wheeled Coach Type III

Ambulance 91-72- 1996 Ford/Wheeled Coach Type II (used as a spare for both Campuses)

Future Apparatus:

Chief's Command Vehicle- Chevy Tahoe (awaiting transfer from Transportation)

New Ambulance- Ford/Wheeled Coach Type III Ambulance (ordered)(will become 48B1, 48B1 will become 48B2/91-72. and the 1996 will be turned in)

(2) New 1500 GPM Pumpers ( currently in spec, should be ordered shortly) to become front line Engines at both Campuses (Hopefully both current Engines will remain as back-ups)

Boy this new Chief at the VAFD is really getting things done!!! LOL I have to say that the VAFD is coming a long way, as you can we are getting new equipment left and right. Just wish we could be used!!!
