Manhattan -Boat Accident 7-24-05

Units: NYPD Aviation Air Sea Rescue, NYPD Harbor Charlie, FDNY Marine #1, North Hudson Regional FD, PAPD

Description: (2) vessels collided with confirmed injuries.

2120hrs- USCG has a male on Ch.16 that states he is approximately 500 feet from shore, NJ side. He was struck by another vessel and his girlfriend was unconcious, now concious but cannot move.

2125hrs- PAPD req. NYPD over NYPD SOD, stating that the vessels invlved are off Edgewater, NJ. Numerous units enroute.

2129hrs- Victim reporting that the second involved vessel is also disabled and adrift near him. Unk. injuries on second boat.

2130hrs- NYPD ESU responding with ESU Truck 2 and Truck 1, FDNY transmitting water rescue box for same location. B-13, Rescue B/C, SOC, Water Rescue support units, with box assignment.

2140hrs- One vessel involved is a 26-foot Larson. Both vessels are at location. NYPD Aviaiton arriving and will search water for possible ejected victims.

2143hrs- FDNY Marine #1A is reporting (1) minor injury at this time. All land units going 10-8, marine and aviation units continuing in.
