GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

Under limited supervision, performs various Quality Assurance activities, advanced life support emergency medical care, and recruitment activities. Performs investigations on any questions/concerns regarding clinical care from internal and external sources; completes records and reports. Assigns patient care report reviews, conducts in-station testing and field supervision on fire and medical emergency scenes. Performs as the Shift Medical Officer, investigates and determines legitimacy and acts upon clinical care concerns by crew members, patients or their families, emergency room staff, etc. Reports to the Battalion Chief in charge Medical Services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant must have 3-5 years experience in EMS/Fire Service. Also, must have either a South Carolina or National Registry Paramedic certification and must acquire a Firefighter I certification within one (1) year from date of hire. Must obtain SCFA Instructor within one (1) year from date of hire. Associates Degree preferred.
