Peekskill's Station 5 and Station 3 are actually the same building. Columbian Engine 131 is downstairs on Crompond Road, and Washington Engine 133 is upstairs on South Division Street.

Another interesting item.... Columbian Engine (131) used to share it's quarters with Columbian Hose (132) before E132 moved to Station 4 behind the Beach Shopping Center.

Port Chester actually has 5 stations. While headquarters may seem to be a three company house, it actually only houses Harry Howard and Reliance along with one of the emergency trucks.

Fire Patrol & Rescue is in fact a separate firehouse even if it is next door. The county was probably not told of this when the map was made up to show all the stations.

Station 2 - Stormville Fire Company

Sub-station 2, also in Stormville

Station 3 - Hillside Lake Fire Company

Station 4 - Wiccopee Fire Company

How many of these stations house more than 1 company? Peekskill for example, has 5 stations, that houses 5 companies.

If Somers only had 1 company per house, we would have 9 stations!

Amawalk- 2 engine companies

Granite Springs- 1 engine/ 1 ladder

Somers- 2 engine companies

Lincolndale- 1 engine/ 1 rescue/ EMS

I was wondering which is the one that you can see from 84 just before Lime Kiln road?? Also, refresh my memory but Sub Station 2 is on Stormville Mountain road, just off of 52??

That's Wiccopee's sub-station. It's located on Townsend Rd at the intersection of Shenandoah Rd.

Sub-station 2 is on Mountain Top Rd off Rt 52 right near Stormville Mtn Rd.

In Stamford, the entire city is protected by one career department (SFRD), four combination departments (TRFD, BFD, GFD, and LRFCo.) and one volunteer department (Springdale). Each of the six fire departments operate in districts established by the city charter in 1949. In my posting I identified what departments have what stations. Within the city limits there are six districts which have a total of 12 stations (plus on fire training center).

Be safe out there!!
