Some tips for those Simple Digital Cams

1 post in this topic

Ok. Here are some things I use to do with my Point and Shoot Digital cam. One problem you will find is that there is a delay when shooting, which can lead to all sort of problems.

Learn you camera and read the book. Things to learn are how to change the ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture, Etc.

So lets say I am shooting a parade, and I am having some trouble. I would change my ISO as needed setting it to something like 400 instead of AUTO.

Another trick I would do is set the focus ahead of time. Some cameras have a setting called infinite focus. This isn't the best option but when having trouble focusing might help you get a decent photo.

One thing I found by setting everything and not using the AUTO modes was the camera would react faster because it doesn't have to think as much.

Getting dark photos when using your flash? Try two things:

1. turn off you flash and use a tripod.

2. Change to a night mode and use a tripod
