Units: Cars 2442 (IC), 44, 49, E180, E183, 80B?, 80B?, NYSP, DEC Haz-Mat, YFD E271, NSVAC 72B1, CFFD U28

Description: Over-turned garbage truck w/Haz-Mat spill

*Somers E-180 was dispatched from previous call to above location for a reported over-turned garbage truck w/negative injuries. First arriving SFD units confirming over-turned garbage truck w/fluid spill, possibly hydraulic fluid & diesel fuel. Car 2442 assumed command and requested their (SFD) spill trailer to respond. Somers FD ambulance also requested to assess the driver of the truck as precaution. DEC en-route with their haz-mat trailer as well.

1613hrs-2nd Ambulance requested to the scene for re-hab purposes.

1614hrs-Car 2441 on scene, assuming command. Car 2441 requesting (1) Engine m/a from Yorktown to re-locate to Lincolndale Firehouse (SFD HQ), as well as North Salem VAC with (1) ambulance.

1615hrs-60-Control dispatching Yorktown.

1623hrs-YFD E271 re-locating to Somers.

1628hrs-Battalion-13 on location.

1638hrs-As per Batt-13, Croton Falls requested to respond with Utility-28 for additional booms/pads.

1644hrs-U28 10-17.

1650hrs-U28 10-19.

1706hrs-Batt-13 advising 60-Control that the Health Dept. is on location.

1740hrs-CFFD U28 10-8.

1741hrs-YFD E271 10-8.

1800hrs-Batt-13 advising that Somers command is releasing (1) ambulance from the scene & that North Salem Vac can be released from s/b. Batt-13 also advising that the truck has been up-righted.

1802hrs-E180 10-8.

1830hrs-Batt-13 10-8, Health Dept. clearing as well.
