Rockland 44-Control "45"

I monitor Westchester, Putnam, and Rockland pretty often.

I use to hear one of the Rockland 44-Control Dispatchers....

"KEE-398..FOUR-FIVE" a lot and now I don't.

Who is "45" and what happened to him?

He's kinda like HAP at 60-Control. I been hearing both of them on the air a long time.

I think 45 retired. I have been listening to Rockland radio for many years, and heard him quite often, but now not at all. He was known for his dispatch style all over the area. Rockland radio has about the best setup equipment wise, and the discipline in that county is second to none as well. No goofing around on the radio, not even sarcastic tones of voice.... Very refreshing!

operator "45" has not retired. he is still there doing his thing. one of the best dispatchers we have.
