CPR Instructors course

There will be a CPR Instructors course on July 29th from 5-10, July 30th from 9-5, and July 31st from 9-5. This course will include ACLS, AED, and First Aid. The course will be held at Peekskill VAC HQ. If you need any more information on this course feel free to PM me anytime. Thanks again and i hope to see some of you there.

TS, ACLS also? This is normally a seperate class being its an advanced provider course. Did you possibly mean BCLS?

Also, who is the course sponsor? Is it AHA, ARC, NSC?

It is ACLS i double checked with the person who is going to be teaching the course. Not sure about who the sponsor is but i will find out ASAP and let you guys know. Thanks.

Thats a really good question. I don't recall there being any mention from the AHA about a specific age requirement. I can peruse the instructor manuals and let you know. I'd imagine it's more of a maturity level requirement than an age limitation.

I would imagine 18. That is the age for EMT, and I have a guy in my department that is an instructor, and he's no more that 19.

But keep in mind CPR has less requirements than EMT. I'd imagine if you are old enough to take CPR and know it well, and mautre enough to teach it to others then you can be a CPR-I.

I know in my old HS they had some kids who were CPR/First Aid Instructors for the lay person CPR who were 16/17ish (AHA). I don't know if that helps. It's possible that they could change the age requirements for "professional" level courses.

So everyone knows the sponsor is the AHA for this course. If any of you guys are interested in signing up for the course feel free to PM me and i will get you on the list ASAP. Also guys there is gonna be a blood drive at our HQ on the 30th of July so anyone that could help out and give bllod it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again guys.
