LED Grill Lights

9 posts in this topic

I'm not sure what catagory to post this under, so temporarly I guess it will be in the Lounge. Does anyone know what sort of wiring is required for LED Grill Lights? I was looking for a pair on Galls and they arent clear about what is required. I figured that a strobe power supply would be needed but some of their sets come with mountable switches and make no mention of any power supply. Anyway, if anyone has any further knowledge I would appreciate it. Thanks

LED grill lights usually either have a specific LED flasher or have the circuitry built in. Call Gall's technical folks; they can tell you.

Gall's tends to be over priced on alot of things--check out strobesnmore.com or a local vendor such as safetysignalindustries.com

Ebay is your friend.

MOST LEDs, but not all, contain their own built in flasher. This means that AT MOST each lighthead would require 3 wires. A power, a ground, and a "sync" wire to syncronize the patterns.

Some LEDs will require an external flasher, the most common models are made by Sho-Me and are around $25. check out www.lshlights.net for some good prices and a great selection.

Any other questions, just ask.

I bought a pair of Sho-Me L.E.D. grille lights from AAA in North White Plains about a year ago. They're great light's with 10 or so flash patterns & they're very bright. They're also very small, so they're versatile for mounting. I bought them in Blue/Blue and they were $180. They came with the lights, the power supply, the switch w/pattern selection, wiring & hardware.
