Rye Brook has ordered a new Spartan ERV Aerial Quint demo to replace the 2018 Spartan/Smeal destroyed in Hurricane Ida.

Spartan Motors, Inc. (authorized dealer Hendrickson Fire Rescue and Spartan Fire) has provided the Village with a letter dated December 13, 2021 providing an estimated contract price of $1,225,000 for a demonstration (demo) 2021 Spartan fire truck currently available with a 105’ aerial ladder in a quint configuration through Sourcewell, formerly the National Joint Purchasing Alliance (NJPA), in accordance with Contract No. 022818-SPR that was awarded on the basis of best value to Spartan Motors, Inc.; and

I don't know if it's going to be a demo, as pictured, or custom built. The demo pictured in Hendrickson's post is very nicely equipped.
