Arson Dogs In Westchester

Did anybody ever implement another Fire Dept Arson Dog after the death of Greenville's a few years back? If not, County Police would be a logical place to start another.

yorktown zone 4 c&o has a dog now too

Greenvilles Lab retired a few years ago, they now have a German Shepard being cared for by the same handler.

Yorktown (Blaze) and Greenville (Kuba,....may be incorrect spelling) are 2 out of the 4 or 6(i forget which) liscensed arson dogs in the state now.

Past Chief DiBartolo and the Yorktown Heights Fire District payed for Blaze and his training.

I must comment here...

I don't think it should be an issue of WHO paid for the Arson Dog

or WHY. It's a very useful tool in Arson Investigation.

It's about time we get some useful equipment in the county

for the Fire Service. Yes, that includes a Dog.

It's my understanding that YHFD Ex-Chief Eric DiBartolo paid

some money out of his own pocket for this Dog.

meeting the new member of the C & O Team.
