Man, I'm ticked! I couldn't make it on Wednesday, because of work. I could have made it, since it got bumped, but I took OT. #-o Ah, I'm getting bored of parades/shooting parades but I still love to go and watch. Hopefully I will be able to make it to Mahopac.

Mamaroneck fire parade postponed

The Mamaroneck Firemen's Parade scheduled for tonight has been postponed because of the heavy rain, thunder and lightning threatening the region, Village Manager Len Verrastro said.

The parade, featuring contingents from 35 fire departments around the tri-state area, is rescheduled for tomorrow at 7 p.m., assuming there is no rain. The route runs along Mamaroneck Avenue from Mamaroneck Avenue School to Harbor Island Park.

The first night of the annual Firemen's Carnival also is canceled tonight. The carnival will now open tomorrow. It runs through Tuesday at Harbor Island Park. Hours are 7 to 11 p.m. each day.
