FDNY Uses Drone at Bronx 4th Alarm

The FDNY used their new Drone for the first time during the recent 4th alarm fire in the Bronx.  According to the article the Drone provided a video feed of roof conditions to the Incident Commander which helped direct fire ground operations.

They Anounced it over Citywide during one of the final progress reports last night that it was the first ever use of a Drone !!

Was the drone 1st due?  Or does it go after higher alarms are struck out?

If you are not being sarcastic, the drone  goes to second alarms and above-is carried/operated by the Command Tactical Unit.

I guess all the firefighters and chiefs on the roof who gave reports and conditions wasn't enough or believeable.

The palisades interstate Parkway Police and East Bergen Repel Team are looking into using drone for Repel jobs They have used NYPD Aviation units in past The inferred camera comes in handy during a Repel job
