Dan Shultz is going stair crazy.

A longtime 911 dispatcher for the City of Poughkeepsie, Shultz has been an emergency services worker his entire adult life.

 

The 42-year-old Wingdale resident has been a dispatcher for 16 years, a volunteer firefighter for 26 years and was formerly an EMS worker in Yonkers. Later this month, he is taking his passion for service to new heights — as he plans to participate in the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Citi Field in Queens. The event is on Saturday, Oct. 29.
