Empress EMS Takes Delivery Of Several New Ford T-250/Medix Type II Ambulances

Empress has ordered several Ford Transit T-250/Medix Type II ambulances with the I-5 Diesel engines for delivery in April, from Medix Ambulance Company, through their dealer VCI

 

I believe they have ordered additional demos of the above to place into immediate service.

No rear facing blue lights on the new ambulances? Unless I missed them. That Ford Expedition looks nice. Am I wrong or do the Ford SSVs usually come with steel painted wheels & not aluminum rims?

I have heard alternately that we have ordered either 7 or 10 new ambulances.

I count us running 6 flycars now:

2 Yonkers

1 Yorktown

1 Pelham

1 White Plains

1 supervisor

So a new spare or two might be needed. 

Note: Pelham owns the Pelham truck, but Empress sends a company spare when it goes out for service.

What's the reason for Empress getting more ambulance's is it because there doing more then Yonkers now there doing white plains Mount Vernon and New Rochelle now ?

Normal fleet replacement/addition program for a rapidly growing company.  Additional ambulances for the temporary contracts will and have already come out of Empress's regular fleet pool, which is big enough to absorb those needs.
