FDNY New Marine Vessel Maintenance Facility Opens

FDNY Marine Operations celebrated the opening of its new, state-of-the-art Marine Vessel Maintenance Building at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on December 15. FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro, Chief of Department James Leonard, and Chief of Marine Operations Michael Buckheit attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new building which boasts a regulated temperature and ventilation system, solar panels, and a stand-alone trolley crane that can haul engines out of boats
