When A Residential Alarm Turns Out To Be The Real Thing

This morning, Katonah FD responded to a residential alarm that turned out to be the real thing. This is a good example that we all may get complacent with all the false alarms almost all the time, they do save lives and property when the real thing occurs.

KATONAH - Firefighters were able to contain a blaze to the basement of a Croton Lake Road home early Friday, saving the rest of the residence.

Firefighters were called to 201 Croton Lake Road before 6 a.m., after a family was alerted to the blaze by a smoke detector.
