Lowes Coming To Yonkers

For the record, I'd MUCH rather patronize a LOCAL hardware store.

With that said, Lowes is planning to open a store at Ridge Hill in Yonkers. I HATE the Yonkers Home Depot, so hopefully this store will be nicer.

And hopefully it will have a better parking setup then that pain in the butt parking garage. It may still be easier to go over the bridge.

Has anyone heard of any plans for other Lowes in Westchester? I had heard rumors several years ago that they were looking to open in Yorktown near the corner of Route 202 and Lexington Ave.

Again,for the record, I'd rather patronize a local hardware store. But sometimes nowadays you're forced to go to the big box stores, So, my favorite Home Depot is in Georgetown, TX and my favorite Lowes is on Route 303 in Rockland. Still have to check out the brand new Lowes in Norwalk, CT though.
