Looks like it is finally (officially) happening.

I don't fully understand why they would still keep the overhead of a limited department though?

Story Highlights

• Westchester County will provide police service for Mount Kisco through 2019.
• Mount Kisco police can resign and be reinstated as county police or remain in local department.
• Village department won't dissolve, but remain with the chief and about four officers.
• Mount Kisco will pay $6.4 million prorated over first year of the deal.
