Who the heck is this?????????

N994, you must be reading my mind. Considering how I feel regarding the initial response to the airport excludes a certain unnamed dept.(probably closest) to the main terminal as it is.

According to the WC DES Apparatus Inventory List, Tower Ladder 4 is currently a Reserved designation...

Its very easy to get confused with dozens of units responding to various incidents, but I will remove TL4 from the original post...

I was wondering the same thing when I heard it. Whoever it is, it was on the radio. I have a recorded clip of the incident and I played it back a couple times..."tower ladder 4" was there...the best I can think is that TL-2 used the wrong designation or something signing on, otherwise there is a tower ladder four somewhere. Very odd. I also was wondering what all the airport equipment uses for radio designations and how many pieces of apparatus there are. If anyone can fill me in on this it would be appreciated.

From what I remeber the Airport has 2 vehicles, both Crash Rescue, on the air they come up as Airport 7 and 11. I know they have "official designations" of Engine 218 and 219 but have never heard that used

TL-4 was Greenville's Mack tower ladder until it was replaced with an E-One quint in the late 80's.

242steve,

pls don't be offended. Nice job reporting incident. It just grabbed our attention ( especially mine!). I have 95' feet of tower ladder sitting 2 miles away that never see's the place!
