White Plains Buying Two New Engines On NJPA Contract

I think this is a first up here to me at least although they mention they've been doing it for a while....but in Texas a lot of apparatus has been purchased using similar purchasing cooperatives for a long time now..

NEFEA sells first units on NJPA contract

New England Fire Equipment and Apparatus and Smeal Fire Apapratus was awarded Two (2), Pumpers from the City of White Plains this week. CIty of White Plains a long time purchaser from the NJPA and Smeal Fire Apparatus.

By using the NJPA the City of White Plains was able save the city thousands of dollars to the taxpayers of the community rather than using the costly bid process! The NJPA provided a faster process for the purchase and additional discounts to the City for purchasing on a national level.
