Westchester County Safer Communities Forum: Expansion Of Crisis Intervention Team (10/21)

Chiefs and Commissioners:

On behalf of County Executive Robert P. Astorino, I would like to invite you or members of your department to Westchester County’s next Safer Communities forum, which will focus on the expansion of the county’s Crisis Intervention Team training program to police officers, firefighters and other first responders free of charge. This forum will be an opportunity to find out about the training and its benefits. There will be several presentations on emerging best practices for dealing with persons experiencing emotional distress or behavioral crisis.

The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Westchester County Center. Narcan training is available for those who are eligible from 12-12:30 p.m.
