Tragic. Not a very nice neighborhood at all. RIP.

A family has lost a loved one and the men and women of the Rochester Police Department have lost a family member and a friend.

A Rochester Police officer made the ultimate sacrifice protecting the people of Rochester. That officer was shot and killed after chasing a suspect in the City.

Dispatch: Warsaw and Hudson. Shots fired suspect down, officer down. Shots fired -- suspect and officer down. We need a rig, we need Hudson shut down. Hudson and Roycroft shut down. We have a large crowd gathering. Seventy-seven to RGH with officer in the car. Advise RGH that they're going to RGH. They're taking him to RGH. I've got another male shot -- 955 Hudson, 955 Hudson. Everybody proceed here with caution please. Don't block up to Hudson Ave.”
