Mt Vernon FD Test Results

I'm trying to verify that the results for the civil service test for Mount Vernon has not been announced yet...

I took the test back in April of 2014. I spoke to civil service, they explained to me there still waiting on

Albany to grade the tests. Apparently there's poor communication. Correct me if i'm wrong but it shouldn't take 5 - 6 months

to grade tests..

I know that the fire academy is held twice a year at the Valhalla training center.

In the fall and spring. it has to be done soon an order for the fall class

Is anyone else waiting for this test?

Has anyone heard different about the results or as to when the physical will be.?

I greatly appreciate any feedback.

It can take 6 - 12 months to certify a test.

It also takes at least a month to hire before an academy class. Interviews, medicals, drug and background screening, fitting & issuing uniforms & PPE, etc.

And that's assuming they are hiring.

Good luck, be patient and take lots of tests.

Also on many test if you are not a resident 6 - 12 months before the tests, your chances are 0

Bnechis summed it up... results can take a long time best advice is to go on with your life and start a good workout schedule, most importantly take more tests.
