Yonkers second alarm Post St and Elliot Ave Mid '80's Fire escape rescue

This job happened as another multiple alarm was going on in the city. Companies not usually due on that box became first due. I recall DC Ed Dunn made a grab of a little girl from an apt. Lt. EK (Good boss! My first Lt.) and FF CO with the woman, in window is JP, now Capt. Of R-1.

Great stuff, Ron! Keep it coming!

My sentiments exactly!

Sir, these are amazing shots that you normally don't see. I love how you captured the raw emotions of not only the firemen, but the civilians as well.

Then there's the 3/4 boots, long coats, fire ball gloves and true leather helmets...now that's history in a picture.

Again, great shots and please keep sharing them.

I always considered Yonkers as the Sixth Boro of New York City. Looking at these photos, I think you will understand why.

Nice shot of 8 Engine. Where were they quartered at the time?

Nice shot of 8 Engine. Where were they quartered at the time?

At the Old Station 8 (Carriage House) that was located just north of their current quarters, along Warburton Avenue (This building was torn down about 2 years ago or so).
