Chris passed away last night. RIP.

With profound sadness I announce and mourn the passing of longtime City of Peekskill police officer and my longtime friend and client, Chris Vazeos. If you've been around Peekskill for 23 years or less, you probably had contact with Chris. He was everywhere helping, protecting and saving lives and property. There are no words to soften this blow. Our thoughts and prayers to his loving mother Maria and the rest of his family. Rest in peace my friend.

As a former member of Peekskill EMS, I ran into Officer Vazeos on many calls. I also interned with Peekskill PD while in college and did many ride-alongs with him. Always a very dedicated, knowledgable and professional guy. Very sad news indeed.
