Ossining MVA w/ Pin 6-9-05

Location: South Highland/Whaler Ave

Frequency: 46-26

Units Operating: OFD- E99, multiple Deputy Chiefs, OVAC, Croton Fd- 2081, R-18, Briarcliff FD 2052, E92, R37.

Description Of Incident: Ossining FD/OVAC dispatched MVA with possible extrication. OPD on location confirming 2 car MVA with extrication. OFD Deputy Chief requesting Croton FD Rescue 18 m/a for extrication. Reason for m/a was R14 OFD oos for mechanical. Due to extended time for R18 to respond, request made for Briarcliff FD R37. Immediately folllowing request, CFD R18 enroute. Briarcliff dispatched as well, enroute with 2052, R37 & E92. On scene E99 stretched 1 3/4 line to extinguish fire within engine compartment of vehicle#1. R18 on scene setting up for extrication. R18 utilized Hurst tool cutters, saws-all, as E92/R37 also set up, utilizing same. With extensive damage to drivers side of vehicle and pt. having there legs pinned under dash, CFD went to work on the posts on the driver side, as BFD went to work on passenger side doing same. After approx. 10 mins the vehicles roof was cut off and pt. was extricated. Pt. handed over to OVAC ALS unit on scene. All units picking up around 1500.
