Description: Working Fire in an occupied p/d

1401hrs-Vails Gate dispatched for the possible structure fire, 6 Lazaroff Pl, caller thinks his neighbors house is on fire.

- OC911 alerting New Windsor; (1) Engine to the scene AMA.

While en-route, units were advised that there may be occupants trapped in the residence.

1405hrs (approx)-VGFD Car-2 arrived on scene, advised of smoke showing from a single family dwelling and requested the 2nd Alarm.

- OC911 re-sounding Vails Gate for the confirmed structure fire and alerting the City of Newburgh for their FAST to the scene.

- OC911 alerting Cornwall and Salisbury Mills; Corwall w/(1) Truck and Salisbury Mills w/(1) Engine to re-locate to Vails Gate Station-1 for stand by.

Car-2 made entry into the residence and located an occupant attempting to escape and assisted him outside. Car-2 then re-entered the structure and located the 2nd occupant in a bedroom and started to remove him. Car-1 then arrived, assumed Command and assisted Car-2 with the removal of the 2nd occupant. Both occupants were then turned over to Cornwall EMS and transported to the hospital.

E478 arrived, hooked a hydrant and laid into the scene. It's crew led off through the front door with an 1 3/4" line. They encountered hoarder-type conditions, but located fire on the 1/2 corner.

1414hrs (approx)-OC911 conducting a status check. Command advising (1) line stretched and operating, 2nd line being stretched, searches underway and members on the roof opening up.

1420hrs (approx)-Command advising main body of fire is knocked-down, companies opening-up and beginning overhaul.
