A No-Nonsense Seagrave

12 posts in this topic

A simple Seagrave ENGINE/PUMPER like this would be perfect for a lot of departments. Just a perfect sized, designed to work, bread and butter Engine, with a great price point with Seagrave quality. Would look nice running down the tight and brutal streets of Yonkers, Peekskill, Poughkeepsie, or many other communities where this would work day in and day out.

2014 Seagrave Marauder II.

Nice..... low hosebed, short wheel base. Looks like most of the hose is coming off the back. Trash line for the front no booster reel. Like the simple Red painted wheels.

Nice rig.

I like this one too...also from PA (Blue Ridge Summit VFD)

1500 gpm pump 750 tank on a 130" wheelbase. No cross lays on this rig either, which I have come to believe is a better set up for a number of reasons

And here's the final product....with a proper paint job... :P

I agree (we only use them for special dead loads).

The tall narrow beds for attack hose on this rig are too deep, you will never be able to pack this bed (shorten the dividers & it will be fine)..

Agreed B, the dividers are too high, but a nice compact rig just the same.

I think your wheelbase number is off. The engine looks to be about the same size as the one I work on and it has a 165" wheelbase.

According to http://itefire.com/BlueRidgeMtn.htm , it is a 176.5 wheelbase on the white Blue Ridge engine.

Less then $500,000.....I will work on getting a better number.

Yep 176.5". Thanks for the correction.

Will Seagrave build on a Spartan Metrostar chasis? Or another manufacturer build on a Seagrave chasis....I've seen a few Rescue 1 products on Seagrave chasis.
