I had heard its a rail cart carrier, but also a soc logistics rig.

Seriously though......you could fit about 200 Nolan carts in there along with a couple of the battery powered lead units.

There are the Nolan Carts, and then there's the Subway vehicle, but that's so compact and fits in a trailer (it's in the background of the shot below) I think the above would be overkill. Could be used for tons of things. The rear axle placement has me wondering what type of load it will handle. And usually FDNY vehicles come fully lettered and outfitted with lights. Sure is sharp looking though whatever it's function!

I'm with Seth... This rig is set up to carry a significant payload. I wouldn't care to speculate what it is given the number and diversity of FDNY's fleet.

Also agree with Seth, with that Model Chassis and axle placement it will be used to haul something heavy. Agree too with not seeing any lights or graphics on it yet.
